Grand Valley State atop Div II standings

Grand Valley State University once again leads the way among NCAA Division II athletic programs in the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup fall standings. The Lakers have collected 260 points to claim the top spot in the all-sports competition. Grand Valley State was led by a national runner-up finish by its women’s soccer program and third-place finishes from its men’s and women’s cross country teams.

Chico State (Calif.) is second in the fall standings with 257 points, Tampa is third with 224, Colorado Mines is fourth with 198 and California (Pa.) and Western State (Colo.) are tied for fifth with 190. Ferris State is 26th in the fall standings with 116 points.
