A record-breaking year for The Orange

The Syracuse University athletics program is enjoying historic success. The Orange has scored a school-record 387.5 points and ranks 46th in the 2011-12 National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. The score, which is the first ranking for the Spring season, beats the previous high of 368.5, which was achieved in 2009-10, and the ranking is the highest in school history. The Orange program has scored more than 300 points in each of the last four years after having reached that mark just once before in school history.
