Stanford Leads Division I Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND (April 18, 2019) – Heading into the final weekend of winter championship season, reigning champion Stanford remains in control of the Division I Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings with 1003.25 points.

First through fourth place remain unchanged from a week ago with Stanford leading the way. Notre Dame climbs into the top-five for the first time this year following a fifth-place finish in men’s ice hockey. The Fighting Irish, with 622.00 total points, edged out Virginia by a single point. Kentucky and Duke move to seventh and eighth, respectively. Ohio State, following a ninth-place performance in men’s hockey, leaps ahead of Texas and into ninth.

Women’s: Basketball – Baylor; Bowling (NC) – Stephen F. Austin; Hockey (NC) – Wisconsin; Swimming – Stanford; Indoor Track & Field – Arkansas
Men’s: Basketball – Virginia; Hockey – Minnesota Duluth (DII); Swimming – California; Indoor Track & Field – Florida; Wrestling – Penn State
Co-ed: Fencing (NC) – Columbia; Rifle (NC) – TCU; Skiing (NC) – Utah

The Big Ten continues to lead all Division I conferences in the top-10 with four institutions – Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, Ohio State. The ACC follows with three institutions – Notre Dame, Virginia, Duke – in the top-10 and is well represented with eight institutions in the top-25.

The final winter release for NCAA Division I Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings will be next Thursday, April 25.

Please note the name change to the Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup following the merger between Learfield and IMG College.

The Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in NCAA Championships.
