NCAA Division III Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND (May 23, 2019) – In the first set of spring Division III Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings, Williams takes over the top spot with 834.00 total points after a runner-up finish in women’s golf.

Williams sits atop the leaderboard in the standings for the first time this year with its 2nd-place finish in the women’s golf championship. Washington-St. Louis stayed secure in third, while St. Thomas (MN) jumped from 10th in the final winter standings to fifth this week. Johns Hopkins (2nd) and Middlebury (5th) remain in the top five to begin the spring. Chicago slides to sixth, Emory (7th) moves back into the top-10, MIT occupies eighth and the NESCAC duo of Amherst and Tufts round out the top-10 in ninth and 10th, respectively. With its 160.00 points in spring sports scored to date – 3rd in women’s golf and 5th in men’s golf – Methodist jumped from 291st to 72nd overall in the most recent standings.

Men’s: Golf – Illinois Wesleyan; Volleyball – SUNY New Paltz

The NESCAC continues to have a hold on the top-10 with four of its institutions ranked – Williams, Middlebury, Amherst and Tufts. The UAA is close behind with three schools in the top-10 – Wash U, Chicago (6th) and Emory (7th).

The next NCAA Division III Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings spring update will be published next Thursday, May 30.

The Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in NCAA Championships.
