NCAA Division III Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND (Dec. 12, 2019) – For the second straight week, Johns Hopkins sits atop the second set of Division III Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings. A pair of national championships in both women’s cross country and volleyball catapulted the Blue Jays to 481.00 total points overall.

DIII FALL UPDATE
In the most recent national championships, Johns Hopkins finished 5th in women’s soccer and 17th on the men’s side. Tufts, who was 8th overall in the first set of standings, jumps to 2nd overall after taking home the men’s soccer title and finished 9th overall on the women’s side. Chicago was 9th and 17th overall in the women’s and men’s soccer tournament, respectively. Finishing 9th in both the men’s and women’s soccer championships, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps is in 4th overall with 305.50 total points. Rounding out the top-five is Middlebury with 17th place showings in men’s and women’s soccer.

Women’s: Cross Country – Johns Hopkins; Field Hockey – Middlebury; Volleyball – Johns Hopkins; Soccer – Messiah

CONFERENCE
The UAA leads all of Division III conferences with four institutions in the top-15 – Chicago, Washington-St. Louis (6th), Emory (12th) and Carnegie Mellon (15th).

NEXT UP
The final 2019-20 fall Division III Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings will be published on Tuesday, December 24. Overall in Division III, you must count the following four sports – men’s basketball and soccer, women’s basketball and soccer – along with the next highest 14 (max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender.

The Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in NCAA Championships.
