Division I Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND (June 3, 2021) – Due to COVID, the 2020-21 Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings have been adjusted to include the fall and winter championships in the first release and the final standings released on July 2. The Stanford Cardinal lead Michigan in the first set of standings by just one-half point, 770-769.50.
The Cardinal have scored in 11 championships between the fall and winter, taking home a pair of national championships in the winter, women’s basketball and men’s gymnastics and recording a pair of third place finishes in the fall, women’s cross country and men’s water polo.
After scoring in just two fall championships, the Wolverines came on strong in the winter, tallying points in 10 championships, including a national title in women’s gymnastics.
In third is North Carolina with 696.50 points. The Tar Heels have four top-10 finishes, including a national championship in field hockey, a pair of third place finishes in men’s and women’s soccer and a sixth place showing in fencing.
The Buckeyes of Ohio State are in fourth overall with 652.50 points with its highest finish coming in FBS football, second overall.
Rounding out the top-five is Kentucky with 629.50 points, including a pair of national championships, women’s volleyball and rifle.
At the conference level, the Big Ten leads all Division I conferences with eight institutions in the top-25.
The final Division I Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings spring update will be published on July 2, following the conclusion of the College World Series.

The Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in NCAA Championships.
